Based in our global head office in Oxfordshire, you will learn to build complex magnetic and cryogenic instruments, putting to use the practical skills you have gathered at school or college and your natural aptitude for all things practical.
Working as part of an experienced team of technicians, you will receive on the job training on how to manufacture NanoScience products and components to the highest standards. The structured training programme will see you developing your basic core manufacturing skills, whilst working on sub-assemblies, product specific and bespoke manufacture and builds. Examples of the skills that you will learn are hard and soft soldering, measuring, filing and fitting, whilst following drawings.
You will have a good standard of education and an aptitude for practical tasks, but most importantly you will be a team player, who is willing to learn, able to take instruction and perform simple assemblies with supervision.
