Job Description

Our client is looking for a driven and positive individual to join a team of 9 working as part of a close-knit team. This is a new role, reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible Audits, Compliance and Financial Accounts


  • UK VAT return
  • French VAT return
  • ROS VAT return
  • Internal processes around VAT
  • Weekly returns and tracking including battery directive returns and tracking, and packaging waste
  • Statistic accounts
  • Duty analysis - Inputs
  • Duty analysis - EU Outputs
  • Direct Tax lead- Corporation tax/PAYE/Pension
  • Compliance in country and EU
  • VAT Input/Output reconciliation and checks to Management and Stat accounts
  • EC sales lists and Intrastat (UK/EU)
  • Intrastat Compliance in country and EU
  • FSC process and audit compliance lead
  • Lead on new business tax exposure (EG Plastic Packaging tax)

Project Involvement:

  • Key player in internal project for Customs Bonded warehouse implementation
  • Internal customs clearance team


  • Knowledge of Sage 200
  • Microsoft applications, with excellent excel skills
  • Knowledge of SQL or Data mining tools beneficial
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take concise notes record conversations and actions agreed with colleagues, Advisors, Auditors, Government and HMRC
  • Ability to plan and manage your own workflow
