Laboratory Technician – Oxfordshire – c£17,000
As a laboratory technician you will be required to carry out routine laboratory analysis following SOPs. You will be expected to maintain the laboratory and stock levels and keep an accurate record of your work. Production Manager – Wiltshire – c£35,000
As a Production Manager you will be working for a contract manufacturing company who provide to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries and you will be required to lead and manage filling and packing operations to ensure achievement of plan to the required cost, quality and safety standards. You will be required to implement and issue SOPs and to ensure compliance with these SOPs and cGMP standards. Suitable candidates should have a substantial amount of experience as a Production Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader. Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is highly desirable. Experience of GMP is essential.

Analytical Development Scientist - Oxfordshire - c£25,000, contract for 9 – 12 months
Working closely with other analysts you will be responsible for the development and manufacture of various pharmaceutical dosage forms. You will use your analytical experience to develop and validate methods for HPLC and ensure that all laboratory procedures and documentation comply with quality regulations. Applicants should be educated to a minimum of degree level (or equivalent) in a chemistry discipline (preferably pharmaceuticals). Experience working within pharmaceutical industry is essential along with experience working to cGMP/GLP and FDA regulations. Candidates should have thorough knowledge of HPLC with experience in calibration and maintenance. Experience developing and validating HPLC methods is essential. Cell Based Bioanalytical Scientist – Wiltshire - c£26,000
As a Bioanalytical Scientist you will be working in an expanding team, established to support the manufacture of protein and peptide-based medicines. You will be responsible for the analysis of samples and the development and validation of analytical methods. Suitable candidates should be educated to a minimum of degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific subject and should have substantial experience in the bioanalysis of pharmaceutical products. Candidates must have experience of cell based assay techniques and the use of protein structure/function characterisation techniques including SDS-PAGE, iso-electric focusing, HPLC, ELISA and spectroscopic techniques. Experience of other pharmaceutical analysis methods including Karl Fischer and particle counting would be an advantage. It is essential that candidates have knowledge of cGMP. An understanding of FDA and ICH guidelines would be a clear advantage.

Formulation Scientist – Wiltshire - £28,000 - £30,000 (dependent upon experience)
As a Formulation Scientist you will play a key role in the formulation and clinical trial manufacture of semi-solid, solid and sterile product formulations.  Other responsibilities will include process development and validation studies and assisting and handling stability and clinical trials. You will also prepare reports and registration documentation and ensure all paperwork is in accordance to the regulatory requirements. Applicants must be educated to a minimum of degree level in a pharmaceutical or chemistry discipline and will have specialised in formulation studies throughout their career. Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical dosage forms and novel and controlled release formulations is essential and previous experience working with solid dosage forms is also required. All applicants require a working knowledge of cGMP.

Laboratory Manager - Oxfordshire - c£35,000
As the Laboratory manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the analytical and screening laboratories. You will be required to oversee the laboratory team who perform high throughput analysis of biological samples. Management of client contracts to ensure deadlines and costings are met and completion of laboratory documentation will also be a requirement of the position. The suitable individual will have experience working in a high throughput contract laboratory and must have experience of laboratory and team management. Experience in biological analysis for clinical trails would be advantageous. In return, my client offers a permanent position with an annual salary of c£35,000 dependant upon experience.

Food Technologist – Packaging – Gloucestershire – c£16,000
As a food technologist, you will be controlling projects within process and packaging development and will therefore have experience of food manufacturing, gained from working within or alongside industry. As a senior organic analyst you will be an expert in GC-MS therefore have the ability to troubleshoot and maintain the instrumentation. The role will involve analysis of customer samples for organic compounds. Improve and develop new methods of sample preparation where necessary. Undertake and manage customer projects ensuring deadlines are met. Interpreting data and technical report writing. Writing analytical procedures and QA documentation. Suitable applicants will be educated to a minimum of degree level preferably within a chemistry discipline. Industry experience working in Organic analysis of soil or water samples is essential. Applicants must also be very experienced in the use and maintenance of GC-MS (Headspace) instrumentation. The use of analytical techniques to identify PAH's, dioxins and furans would be a distinct advantage.
