Job Description

Scope of the Role:

  • Sterling and foreign currency cash books
  • Payroll system records and input
  • Employee share scheme administration
  • Pension administration
  • Company vehicle administration
  • Assist with purchase ledger and employee expenses

Key Responsibilities Include:

Payroll

  • Update system for new starters, leavers, changes etc
  • Produce monthly payroll
  • Respond to payroll queries form employees
  • Coordinate benefit schemes including Child Care vouchers, Eye Care vouchers and Health Insurance
  • Produce payroll management reports

Share Scheme

  • Notify scheme administrators of new starters, leavers, changes etc
  • Administration of annual share awards
  • Respond to employee questions concerning the scheme

Pension Scheme

  • Notify scheme administrators of new starters, leavers, changes etc
  • Administration of documentation for new joiners
  • Respond to employee questions concerning the scheme

Cash Book

  • Daily update of UK Sterling and currency cash books
  • Allocate receipts and payments to customer and creditor accounts
  • Reconcile cash books to bank statements

Company Vehicle Administration

  • Maintain records of vehicles, including fuel cards, mileage and V5 documents
  • Liaise with Group office to ensure all vehicles are insured

Purchase Ledger and Employee Expenses

  • Provide cover for Purchase Ledger Administrator during holidays and absences
  • Register incoming purchase invoices
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and goods receipt records
  • Obtain approval for overhead purchases
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Respond to supplier queries
  • Check and process employee expense claims

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • A methodical approach to work and attention to detail
  • Ability to organise own workload and deliver to strict deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience in the areas of key responsibility is an advantage
