


Editorial Assistant_B2300
We are seeking an editorial assistant for the Routledge media & cultural studies list, to work for the commissioning editor as part of a small team. This is a large, diverse, prestigious and busy list.
Key tasks will be passing scripts to production editorial, sending proposals out for review, writing copy, drawing up contracts, conducting picture research, keeping our database up to date and clearing permissions. The editorial assistant will also act as the main point of contact for numerous authors, provide assistance for the commissioning editor and take charge of a variety of general administration.
The successful candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent. They should be able to manage their time effectively and be an excellent communicator and problem-solver. Basic numeracy, the ability to write good, clear English and computer literacy are essential. Publishing experience would be an advantage, as would an interest in media & cultural studies.
This position will be based at our offices in Milton Park, Abingdon and reports to Natalie Foster, Senior Editor.
