Job Title:  Telesales New Business Executive
Reports to: Key Accounts & Telesales Manager
Location: Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
   

The job at a glance:

In order to maximise selling opportunities and achieve/exceed performance and financial targets, you will be tasked with making effective outbound calls to sell the company’s product portfolio to new and existing customers.  You will also be required to respond quickly and professionally to all incoming enquiries.

Motors.co.uk is one of the UK’s largest Motoring portals and a developer of software products for the motor trade. Based in modern offices in Milton Park, Abingdon, the company has the backing of DMGT (Daily Mail Group Trust), a FTSE 250 company, and is currently undergoing a period of investment & growth. Motors.co.uk is in the strong position of being able to leverage the strength of DMGT’s Northcliffe regional newspaper group to provide a cross-media package to its clientele, giving it a USP in those areas and a significant advantage against competitors. In the last year, Motors.co.uk has also signed up with 4 other regional newspaper groups, to be able to leverage local print media coverage in other areas of the UK. The company is looking to forge more new commercial partnerships both in its media business as well as product development.

Your responsibilities:

Ø    To consistently achieve/exceed individual and team KPIs (quantity
     and quality of calls etc) and targets (performance and financial) in
     order to generate sales to achieve maximum profitability
 
Ø   To identify new business/sales opportunities and present them
     with the appropriate key features and benefits of the portfolio to
     secure new/additional business.  Any objections must be
     overcome in a positive and professional manner, using appropriate
     product knowledge.
 
Ø   To pro-actively and regularly provide clients with relevant
     information and ideas, and also in response to enquiries about
     products and services
Ø   To use the marketing mix and your product knowledge to correctly
     position your advertising solutions/recommendations. This
     includes recognising and dealing effectively with competitor threats
Ø    To provide an excellent customer experience by maintaining a
     high level of service at all times. When necessary, to handle
     customer complaints efficiently and effectively, keeping the
     number of escalated calls to a minimum
Ø   To input and maintain customer records with accurate, high quality
     information in order to enable effective forward-planning, maximise
     the success of all marketing initiatives and maintain an up-to-date
     knowledge of customer activity.  All client conversations and
     transactions must be clearly documented

Ø    To recognise the importance and benefits of effective team
     working, assisting colleagues and providing cover as and when
     required. This also includes respecting and motivating your
     colleagues in other departments who are responsible for servicing
     and supporting your activity – plus maintaining effective
     communication links with other teams/departments across the
     business
Ø    To attend, prepare for and participate in one-to-one and team
     meetings that will review/guide performance (including appraisals),
     share/progress ideas and initiatives, communicate objectives and
     agree sales plans/ focus
Ø   To attend internal/external training sessions as and when
     appropriate to increase skill set.  Plus be responsible for
     continually updating your product, market and competitor
     knowledge
Ø   To undertake special projects and tasks as and when required.
