Job Summary: 

The role will involve working on new development and existing projects, engaging with users at all levels throughout the development lifecycle to deliver high-calibre and technically complex solutions.

Responsibilities:

Ø  Managing development projects from design to implementation
Ø  To work closely with internal and external customers to
    understand the business requirements and designing technical
    solution which best meet these
Ø  Hands-on development on varied projects -the role will involve
    working on new development and existing projects, engaging
    with users at all levels throughout the development lifecycle to
    deliver high-calibre and technically complex solutions.

Skills and Experience:

Ø  Must have a strong background in full-lifecycle software
    development, from systems analysis and design through to
    development, testing and implementation
Ø  Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET programming
    environment – VB or C#
Ø  WPF/Silverlight, WCF, .NET 4.0, CSLA.NET, Prism
Ø  Experience of administrating and programming within the
     Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 environment, T-SQL
Ø  Other MS programming  experience - C++ or VB

Personal Skills: 

Ø  Keen on the Microsoft technology environment (not from a
    Unix/Java background)
Ø  Passionate about software applications for business
Ø  Driving license and own transport
Ø  Good team spirit
Ø  Ability to work on own initiative
Ø  Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Ø  Resourceful, energetic and enthusiastic, prepared to go the
    “extra mile”
Ø  Good attention to detail
Ø  Ability to work well under pressure, both as part of the team
    and on own initiative
Ø  Ability to manage workload and time according to deadlines
    set

Working Environment: 

This is predominantly an office based role, but there may be requirements for occasional visits to clients’ sites to assist the implementation teams and pre-sales teams for which business mileage will be paid in accordance with the company’s expenses policy.  The ability to drive and have own transport would therefore be an advantage.
