This role is within K3’s fast paced Retail Division - the UK’s leading supplier of Microsoft Dynamics – so we want leading professionals to join us. Job Summary: 

Due to the recent growth and internal career progression of K3, we are now recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities: 

General Accounting
Ø  Responsible for assisting the Finance Director to produce month
    end accounts and reporting and forecasting for the group
Ø  Bank reconciliations for all companies/divisions within the Retail
    division
Ø  Produce monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts and balance
    sheet captions and ability to identify items which require action
Ø  Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet captions for the units
    within the Retail division
Ø  Payroll journals for all units within the Retail division
Ø  Responsible for Profit & Loss accounts
Ø  Balance Sheet
Ø  Month/Year end reporting
Ø  VAT Returns
Ø  Liaise with Group Finance and report
Ø  Cash reporting
Ø  Business modelling
Ø  Assist with acquisitions & systems
Ø  Review and make improvements to the business
Cash and banking
Ø  Posting of payment batches to purchase ledger
Ø  Posting of cashbook (i.e. nominal) payments and receipts from
    bank statements
Audit
Ø  Preparation of year end packs
Ø  Preparation of schedules and information required for the audit
Tax
Ø  Preparation of VAT return computation for inclusion in Group VAT
    return
Ø  EC sales lists for all units
Ø  Preparation of analyses for corporation tax computations
Ø  Preparation of data for PAYE Settlement Agreement
Technical accounting
Ø  Maintaining an up to date knowledge of accounting standards and
    issues
Other
Ø  Completion of sundry returns, including National Statistics, for
    inclusion in Group returns
Other Tasks:
Ø  Adhoc projects from Finance Director and other board members
Ø  Proactively assist all areas of the business

Skills and Experience:

Ø  Candidates must have previous experience in an accounting
    environment and be CIMA/ACCA qualified
Ø  Advanced Excel skills essential, to include working with pivot
    tables, look-up etc
Ø  Must have excellent communication skills and proactively work
    on own initiative
Ø  Good IT skills and experience working with Microsoft Windows
    Office, etc.

Working Environment: 

Based at K3’s offices in Didcot.

Working Hours:

Normal Hours of work: 37.5 a week, Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.30 with an hour lunch break.
