We are seeking to recruit a Development Machinist with a diverse range of machining and tool making skills. The successful candidate will have access to a range of manual and CNC machine tools. With your skills based on a mechanical engineering apprenticeship, supported by at least 5 years current machining experience you will be joining a team of engineers and apprentices to successfully deliver engineering components to project personnel.

Receiving your work briefs from the planning staff you will be responsible for determining the detail manufacturing process. You will be required to write CNC programmes and machine the components to meet cost, quality and delivery requirements. Regular contact with design engineers and project personnel is the norm rather than the exception.

The Technology Centre is the main development centre for CROWN in Europe and is the largest technical centre for CROWN’s global operations. The centre is responsible for the development of the company’s products and processes. Innovation is key to our success so every day is different.
