Bookpoint Limited is one of the leading book distribution companies in the UK and a Supervisor opportunity in customer services has become available. The overall objective of the role is to provide service to customers, enhancing service procedure or systems wherever possible.
Responsibilities:
To set and maintain high standards of quality and productivity within the department.
To achieve targets and standards set by manager and collate figures for analysis purposes.
Recruit, train and motivate best quality staff.
Conduct appraisals and identify training requirements.
Ensure that time keeping is maintained and that disciplinary matters are quickly dealt with and brought to the managers attention.
Represent the department in meetings and visits.
Forecast and prioritise workflow during peak periods/holidays and sickness to ensure the daily workload is completed.
To review own performance and recommend ways in which general performance can be improved.
Successful applicants should be able to liaise both verbally and in writing to Directors, colleagues, publishers and customers in order to coordinate good information workflows. They must also have the ability to contribute and manage meetings.
