Customer Data Controller

Purpose of the Job:

The Customer Data Controller provides support through all aspects of servicing and maintaining existing and new customer accounts on Achilles systems.

   
Key responsibilities: 

Ø     Quality checking questionnaires and submissions received from
     customers
Ø     Main point of contact for resolving customer problems, issues,
     and queries via fax, phone, letter, or email. May involve forwarding
     to appropriate personnel using internal call management system
Ø     Updating and maintaining customer details and account records
     using in-house applications
Ø     Contacting customers by telephone, email, letter or fax to ensure
     data is promptly presented to a high standard for inclusion on the
     database
Ø     Creating and sending logon details to clients and users.
Ø     Taking and processing customer payments, ensuring speedy
     delivery of service
Ø     Carrying out other tasks to progress customer data from
     application to full registration on the database. This may involve
     taking on projects
Ø     Post duties including enveloping, stamping, and sending mail
Ø     Providing support in delivery of client open days, exhibitions,
     training seminars, presentations, and consultancy work
Ø     Maintaining an accurate and up to date call log of all customer
     communication
Ø     First point of contact for Customers a and escalating IT issues,
     technical queries, and complaints as appropriate
Ø     Developing and cultivating relationships with customers
Ø     Working within a framework of corporate standards and policies
Ø     Proactively assisting customers in ensuring that their data is kept
     up-to-date

Essential Skills  

Ø     A working knowledge of MSOffice, Outlook, and Excel
Ø     Accuracy and close attention to detail
Ø     Articulate and able to demonstrate verbal reasoning
Ø     Logical thought
Ø     Be numerate and literate
Ø     Good listening skills
Ø     Confident and pleasant manner when speaking to customers
Ø     Flexible approach and ability to meet tight deadlines 

Training:  

Information about the organisation and the databases will be given during a period of induction.  Training will be given on specific software. 

Person specification: 

The Customer Data Controller will be working within a small and dynamic team and good interpersonal skills along with enthusiasm are essential.  There will be scope to work on your own and with initiative, but team playing is more important. A good telephone manner is imperative together with the ability to handle customer calls in a friendly professional way. The work involves accuracy and close attention to detail, requiring good technical, and organisational skills.  It will be important to demonstrate sound time management and planning while remaining flexible in approach. Working to deadlines is important as the environment can be pressurised at times 

Additional information: 

There may be an occasional requirement to work beyond contracted hours or to work at other offices, therefore the ability to drive and a clean driving license would be preferable.
